Leslie’s Family Portrait

Leslie and her siblings decided to have some family portraits taken as they got together for Passover at their parent’s home.  We mixed it up with a little traditional and a little untraditional.  Leslie, it was so nice meeting you and your extended family and very fun shooting all those cute grandkids- thank you!

Gloria’s Generations Shoot

This was a really cool shoot for me – Gloria contacted me to shoot her with her mom and two daughters as her xmas present to them.  She was up for something a little different – we did a vintage kitchen theme as the love of cooking was one of the things that ties them together.  We also found some great light and backgrounds in her lovely
home out in the country in Eastford, CT:

Katie and Michael’s Wedding in Farmington and Avon CT

What a wonderful first wedding of the season!  A beautiful day and a truly nice couple.  Thank you Katie and Michael for everything!

Katie got ready at her parents’ home in Farmington:

This is one of my favorite photos of the day…I loved the style and colors of their home with the style/color of the dresses:

Katie and Michael got married at St. Patrick’s in Farmington.  The anteroom was beautifully lit for those few minutes before they ceremony begins:

We shot the family portraits in front of the church then were very close to Miss Porter’s School for Girls, which is perfectly New Englandy for a mini-street shoot with the bridal party:

Then it was on to The Pickin’ Patch in Avon.  I actually pick fruit there in the summer and thought it would have a number of great backgrounds … I love that when we showed up Katie and Michael had brought these great boots for braving the fields!

Meanwhile, Mike went ahead to Tower Ridge Country Club to shoot the details.

Here is my favorite:

The Stroll and the Conga were dancing highlights!

Digital Workflow Seminar in Farmington, CT

Some photographer friends are teaching a Digital Asset Management (“DAM” :) ) seminar on digital workflow.  I just wanted to give the link here in case anyone is interested in learning more about Lightroom, professional photographer workflow, etc.  The seminar is April 30th in Farmington.  The cost is $149.  The link is here. I think you can see by the title of their workshop that not only will you learn a lot…you will be thoroughly entertained!!!
