Someone up there loves Caity and Matt!! Last Saturday the skies brightened and they had the most beautiful day to get married in Farmington at St. Patrick’s and the Hill-Stead Museum!! Andrea and Jordan had a fabulous day for their wedding in Westport at the Saugatuck Rowing Club. Beautiful setting on the river…we also got the chance to stroll through Southport Harbor next to the Pequot Yacht Club. Here’s a photo from the day…more to come shortly!
What a wonderful wedding….Kaitlin and Matthew’s stylish seaside soiree in Charlestown RI!! We are going to be hard pressed to edit down these photos with so many great moments. Great seeing Hamilton and Kasia and his whole family again! More to come soon…
We are very excited for Co:Lab, the ad agency that designed our commercial website www.photojane.com. They have won two 2011 Connecticut Art Directors Club (CADC) awards for their design of our website and business cards. We were attracted to them for their clean, modern look with a sense of fun. We loved working with them for their great personalities and professional manner. Congratulations Troy, Rich and Constanza!

Some people really know what they want. That’s Josie and Elliott. They both answered “definitely!” when their rabbi asked if they would take one another as their marriage partner. A really nice couple, it was so nice to see the amount of love their families have for both of them.
After photographing at Josie’s home in Westport, we went to the Trumbull Marriott for their ceremony and reception. Josie wore a beautiful dot A-line dress with polka dots, and they carried that fun theme throughout with their polka dot tablecloths and wedding cake. And the cake topper–best ever–a chocolate version of their totally adorable dog, complete with one signature snaggletooth! Little Tabasco bottles were attached to the escort cards (Elliott loves spicy food), and the very nice flowers came from The Flower Fall in Westport.

Peaceful, calm and beautiful. That’s what it’s like to get married on the banks of the Farmington River on a sunny June day. Ashley and Price did just that two weeks ago at Apricots in Farmington CT in their intimate and warm ceremony and reception. Photographing weddings, among the many things that make us smile is seeing how in-laws really adopt and love the person their son or daughter has chosen to marry. It hits home that a wedding is about more than two people, but really making an extended family. This was very evident in Ashley and Price’s wedding.
Ashley’s cool draping wedding dress with great lines was distinctive and beautiful and Price’s J. Crew linen suit and madras Forage bow tie looked great as well. You can definitely tell they are FIT grads and work in the fashion biz. They also had nice details…such as awesome pies with cute bride and groom love birds, table plaques with wooden numbers, and customized Winding Drive jam favors. A they had the perfect send-off….a 1961 Rolls with deep red interior. Should make that car into a photo booth when it’s retired!

A beautiful evening at the Hill-Stead Museum in Farmington, Connecticut for the intimate wedding of Carolyn and Eddie. Congratulations and wonderful meeting you and your families!
We love Connecticut’s four corners, especially the southeast, where two weeks ago Brie and Matt were married outdoors at the beautiful Saltwater Farm Vineyard in Stonington. We first met Brie back in ’06 at her sister Erin’s wedding that we photographed in Simsbury & Hartford, and it was really nice seeing Erin and Eric and Brie’s whole family. A very fun couple, Brie and Matt’s wedding burst with energy from the start with a photo safari around Mystic, with stops at the aqua-hued Sea View clam shack and River Road overlooking the Mystic Seaport.
Then on to The Saltwater Farm Vineyard with its awesome combo of vistas and vineyards…a delight for photographers. Decorations include string tag-ties for escort cards, mason jars and the perfect flowers from Stems Flower Design, especially the the allium. The Brie and “Matt Libs” were lots of fun and their lavender color scheme looked great inside (with barn board and stainless) and outside (against the grass and salt marshes). Brie’s hair and makeup was done by West Hartford’s Naomi’s Studio & Salon. And it’s always nice to see our good friend and neighbor Lindsay from Sixpence for Your Shoe who coordinated the festivities, including catering by A Thyme to Cook.
