We’re Jane and Mike Shauck and we photograph weddings in an intimate, editorial and documentary style. We strive to capture our clients’ true personalities in beautiful ways, working closely with you to tell your story in the most unobtrusive way. The best part of our job is meeting wonderful people and their families…we feel it’s a privilege to be invited to document your wedding day.

Jane has been named the #1 wedding photojournalist in Connecticut by the WPJA for several years and has won multiple Brides Magazine photo awards. Our Real Weddings have been published in Brides Connecticut, The Connecticut Bride, The Knot Best of Weddings, Newport Life Weddings, and Town & Country and in the blogs Brooklyn Bride, Style Me Pretty, and The Green Bride Guide.

Jane’s also a commercial photographer, most recently winning the 2009 Best of the ASMP and the 2009 Photo District News (PDN) Faces photography awards. Recent work includes photojournalistic portraits of the 2010 New York Mets for SportsNet NY and documenting the making of Michael Jackson’s final tour costume for Swarovski. Jane has also photographed the TIME 100 Most Influential People Gala in New York for several years, photographing over 150 of the recipients.

We’re members of the Wedding Photojournalist Association (WPJA), Style Me Pretty’s Little Black Book, The Digital Wedding Forum (DWF), The Advertising Photographers of America (APA), and The American Society of Media Professionals (ASMP).

We live in West Hartford CT midway between NYC and Boston with our two little boys, Sebbie (6) and Jude (4) and our also lovely yellow Lab, Rupert. We look forward to meeting you and hearing about your wedding!
